Domestic weightlifting bars can be simply divided according to the following specifications:
1. Length: 1.2, 1.5, 1.8, 2.2 (for reference).
2. Handshake diameter: 25 mm, 28 mm, 30 mm, 32 mm, 50 mm (the 50 is only seen online and is a specialized power lifting bar). I personally recommend 28mm, because the Olympic weightlifting bar is 28mm, but currently most in China are 30mm or 32mm. In order to increase safe load-bearing, 25mm is obviously a low-end shrink bar.
3. Form: straight bar, serpentine curved bar, super curved bar, circular deadlift bar, raised squat bar, short circular arm training bar.
4. Diameter of hanging piece: 25 mm to 50 mm. Obviously, 50mm is better, 25mm is a small-hole barbell plate, and 50mm is an Austrian plate, that is, a large piece.
5. Self-weight: the minimum is less than 5 kg, followed by 5.6 kg, 8 kg, 10 kg, 13 kg, 15 kg, 18 kg, 20 kg, etc.
A regular 220cm pole should be 20kg, which is the international standard, but domestic 220cm poles are not like this, and many have shrunk. Why? Calculate the density of steel and the volume of the barbell using mathematics and physics knowledge. The result is 19.76kg. Including the drum bag, it should be exactly 20kg. The reason why many 220 barbell bars are less than 20k g is that the sleeve is hollow and the remaining I won't talk about it.
6. Safe load-bearing: the minimum is about 50kg and the maximum is 1200 pounds, which is a regular pole. Of course, when a strongman squats 1,200 pounds, those are special poles that are not accessible to everyone, so I won't introduce them. Some gym products should be able to safely bear more than 350 kilograms.
7. Craftsmanship: This is very important. Most weightlifting bars have any craftsmanship.
Rod body process: electroplating, multi-layer electroplating, blackening and rusting.
Process: bearings, copper sleeves, solid, hollow, integrated and non-integrated.
8. Materials: high carbon steel, carbon steel, quenched heat-treated carbon steel, low-end spring steel, high-end spring steel, spring steel used for weightlifting rods.
